The Costa del Sol hosts one of the two Spanish leisure boats with blue flag

The Costa del Sol hosts one of the two blue flags given to pleasure craft companies in Spain, Costasol Cruceros, which also revalidates the guarantee label, already received in 2016 in appreciation for its concern for the sustainability of the sea.
The Costa del Sol confirms, one more year, it’s commitment with the sustainability of the sea as one of its pillars. The blue flags are usually given to the beaches,  this year there have been a total of 24, belonging to ten different municipalities, but they  also distinguish marinas and boats that reach the excellence dimension. It´s in this last modality that the Costasol Cruceros company has once again been recognised.
These awards help and support the work of the tourist company sector in the Costa del Sol when it comes to building a sustainable destination, respectful and of minimal impact on  nature. The blue flag applied to boats is a new modality established in 2016 by the FEE (Foundation of Environmental Education) that in Spain, as  with the rest of flags, is encouraged and proposed by the AEDAC (Asociación de Educación Ambiental y del Consumidor). Last year Costasol Cruceros received this award thanks to its boats Magic Visión and Starfish Dos, and a year later for the sustainability of its transports. It is, also, the only company receiving this distinction in the peninsular Spain.
Regarding the blue flags given to the Marinas and Leisure Ports, Málaga, which is the andalusian province with more blue flags along with Huelva and Cádiz, counts with five in this case: La Duquesa (Manilva), Estepona, Marbella, Benalmádena and Caleta de Vélez.
