The cultural offer in Malaga comprehends a hundred of museums and galleries, being the Picasso Museum, the Automobile Museum, the Carmen Thyssen Museum, the Russian Collection Museum in Malaga, the Interactive Music Museum, the CAC Malaga, the Pompidou Centre or the recently opened Museum of Malaga just a few of them that gather the works of great artists.
The strong bet of Malaga as a city for enjoying cultures allows a large number of high quality exhibitions to visit while staying at the Costa del Sol. In fact, we already talked about, in B bou Hotels, of the recently re-opened Museum of Malaga, hosted by the Palacio de La Aduana, that became the biggest Andalusian museum and the fifth all over Spain, joining other renowned venues.
If the Museum of Malaga already gathers more that 15.000 archeological references and a pictorial collection of two thousand more, during summer there’s a lot of great exhibitions to visit, such as “Bacon, Freud y la Escuela de Londres” at the Picasso Museum, “La apariencia de lo real. Cincuenta años de arte realista en España (1960-2010)” at the Carmen Thyssen Museum, “Kandinsky y Rusia” and “La Dinastía Románov” at the Russian Collection Museum in Malaga, “¿A qué te suena?” at the Interactive Music Museum (MIMMA), Peter Doig’s “studiofilmclub” at the Contemporary Arte Centre of Malaga (CAC) or “Starck. Dibujos secretos. 4.000 croquis desvelados” at the Centre Pompidou.
But there is a lot more to visit at Malaga and its province, hosted by venues such as the Automobile Museum, the Ralli Museum, La Térmica, the recently opened MUVEL, Museum of the Town of Velez-Malaga, the Site of the Dolmens of Antequera and so on. Besides each website, we recommend visiting the guide of exhibitions published by Visita Costa del Sol’s page, that offers a quick look amongst all of them.
