03 Oct 2017

A total of 300 runners will participate, on October the 21st, in the Ist edition of the RondaTrail Ruta del Vino, an event that proposes a distance of 25 kilometres, starting at the famous Alameda del Tajo and ending at the Bodega Lunares.

Two of the biggest Ronda attractions, the “Dreamed City” where one of our unique spaces is situated, B bou Hotel Molino del Arco, are it’s amazing mixture of historical heritage and natural environment, and a local gastronomy where wine is one of the main characters.

These two elements go hand by hand in this first edition of the Ruta del Vino de Ronda Trail, that will take place next  October the 21st thanks to the support of the RVR Association (Centro Integral para el Desarrollo de la Vitivinicultura y Enotirusmo in the Serranía de Ronda), with the collaboration of the Ronda City Council, Turismo Ronda Suerte Natural, Intersport and the Viticultura y Bodegueros Serranía de Ronda Association.

It is a new race on foot, which aims  to combine sports and wine, proposing a distance of 25 kilometres and a drop no higher than 500 metres. The start of the race will be in one of the most recognisable places in Ronda, the Alameda del Tajo, and the end will be at the Bodega Lunares, situated at El Juncal. 300 runners will participate in this race which won´t take longer than 5 hours, and allows a more popular and less competitive character.

In future editions the route will vary to take in the other 23 wineries that are part of the RVR known. On arrival at the finish line, a party will be celebrated  in which the participants and partners will be able to eat and taste the wines of the different wineries. Furthermore, there will be prizes for some categories, as well as trophies and bottles of wine. Registration can be done at the following website: www.ruta-vinos-ronda.com
