The most expected party of the summer all over the province is the Malaga Fair, to be hosted in August 2017 between two saturdays, 12th and 19th, to offer a whole week of music, dance and fun.
Malaga’s August Fair will begin the 12th on this 2017 edition, until the next saturday, the 19th, offering a whole week of music, dance and fun. It’s, no doubt, one of the most anticipated dates all over the year – both for locals and tourists.
One of the curiosities of this Fair, that makes it special, it’s that you can choose between two different spaces, one of them more likely to be enjoyed during the day, located downtown at the Plaza de la Constitución, and the other one at the Real Cortijo de Torres, a fun place during the day too, but specially interesting when the sun goes down, because that’s when it gets fully illuminated. On its ‘casetas’ you can eat, dring and dance during all day and night, also offering an amusement park for kids and lots of live shows.
The Fair, whose origins date to the Christian Reconquest of Malaga by the Catholic Kings, it’s the ideal time to wear the most iconic Andalusian clothings, the ‘flamenca’ and ‘corto’ dresses, and to enjoy traditional plates such as ‘pescaíto frito’, cold soups such as ‘porra’ or ‘gazpacho’ and all kinds of tapas, beers and wines.
The starting point of this Fair will be the traditional fireworks at the Malagueta beach, to be celebrated this year on the night of Friday 11th.
