Last Friday September 23th, Junta de Andalucía’s Consejería de Turismo y Deporte delivered the 2016 ‘Premios Andalucía del Turismo’ Awards, in a gala hosted by the ‘dreamed city’ of Ronda, a place where the B bou Hotel Molino del Arco is located at.
Over a beautiful stage located at the popular Alameda del Tajo, Turismo y Deporte’s Counselor, Francisco Javier Fernández, and Ronda’s Mayor, Teresa Valdenebro, hosted the delivery of a series of awards where María Herrero, due to her 14 years of work running the B bou Hotel La Viñuela & Spa, received the 2016 ‘Premio Andaluz del Turismo’ on the category of ‘Enterprise or Entrepreneur’.
These acknoledgements, that celebrate this year its 12th edition, honor the efforts of peoples, enterprises and institutions that help in the promotion of tourism. The other 2016 awards were given to the orchestra director Pablo Heras Casado, the city of Lucena (Córdoba), the Vía Verde Foundation, the Caminito del Rey, the IES Heliópolis school, Sevillian chambermaid Josefa Viejo Palma and journalist Pedro Luis Gómez.
This important award was, for María Herrero, as the young entrepreneur stated, “the acknoledgment to a trajectory of so many years at La Viñuela, a continuous effort in the search of excellence, avantgarde and innovation”. This award, that Herrero received “with humbleness and in the name of a great team”, will also serve to “showcase the Axarquia, the other heart of Málaga”, a district that she defined as “rich and authentic”. The gala can be enjoyed again in this video published by Junta de Andalucía’s Consejería de Turismo y Deporte:
Besides, this award arrives at the same time of the birth of B bou Hotels, a brand that has in “La Viñuela a kind of mother”, said Herrero, also co-founder of the project.
